I recently was contacted about photographing a 50th wedding anniversary. When I asked the caller, the couple’s daughter-in-law, how she heard about me, she said ‘everyone knew my work and that I was the best.’ Okay. I loved this woman right from the start!
Although ‘the best’ is relative, I graciously accepted her compliment and will forever remember it. It made my week. It gave me an opportunity to share the celebration and create keepsake images for everyone.

Sara & Richard
Sara and Richard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, and J. Love Photography was there to capture the occasion. It was held at Weber’s Inn. Love the place. Rod and I had our wedding reception there 9 years ago. Sara and Richard had much of their original wedding party there from 50 years ago! They also had their wedding album, which I will be scanning and using as background images to their new album. Family and friends surrounded them from all over the country. 50 years. That’s a long time to love, honor, and cherish someone. May they have many more happy years together. And this winter, I’m going to be thinking of them as they sun and fun in Naples and it will remind me that getting older has its advantages!! LOL.
Rod and I talked about how if we do live long enough to celebrate 50 years together, we’ll probably be too darn old to enjoy it! I felt happy for this couple that they could celebrate such a wonderful occasion together surrounded by their children and grandchildren and so many friends.
Congratulations on your golden anniversary and thank you, Sara and Richard. You’re too darn cute for words!

Don’t forget the exciting launch of my new jewelry line in the studio, Jewel Kade! Bring your favorite photo on a CD or jump drive for that perfect charm for us to design.
Bring your friends, bring your family! Shop for Mother’s Day, because all orders received by midnight on Sunday will be guaranteed for a Mother’s Day delivery!
The line will be here for you to try on and see up close for this day only. Whether you want simple or embellished, small or large, there’s something for everyone. And that perfect charm can be switched from a short necklace to a long one, you decide! Or wear them all together, like I plan to! LOL.
These are great shower gifts, wedding presents, graduation gifts, or ‘just for me’ gifts! So bring your mad money. The price point is far below what you are expecting too!! Whoo hoo!
We will also be happy to take ‘wish lists’ and contact anyone to fulfill your whimsical wishes. Everyone who attends gets entered into a drawing for a free photo charm.
Come create art with us. Bring your favorite photo of your favorite piece of art you created, your child, your pet, your significant other, your favorite vacation spot, the sky’s the limit! We will be happy to help you create something unique and wonderful. As Jewel Kade says, come create “your own distinctive art, on a small canvas.”
With any purchase, you will be entered into a drawing for a free photo charm valued at $62. So even if you’re busy Sunday, stop in long enough to check it out, try it on, and let me know what you think. Your input matters to me! Hope to see you here.
J. Love Photography Jewelry Launch Party and Open House
Sunday, April 18
12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
8038 Walsh Rd. Dexter

I saw this jewelry line, Jewel Kade, and had to have it! It has unique pewter and beveled glass photo charms with a host of other charms and crystals as well. I went crazy with all of the fun selections that could be mixed and matched.
And unlike some lines, the avg. price point is ~$40 on this line!
(that’s my pocketbook smiling). You know me, I love glitter, animal print, Swarovski crystals.. it’s all there! I come from a long line of jewelry fanatics so this is not my fault!! It’s hereditary!!!
I want to create a charm with my grandbaby and a heart, one with my cat and a verse about cats, one with a crown, etc. Since I have a tendency to get bored easily, how cool is it that the charms can be removed or changed and even stacked together?
My dear friend, Judy, thought I was losing my mind until she saw the catalog today! She told me she was going to try to come home from vacation early to try it all on and see it in person during my open house.
Girls will be girls and we do have our priorities!
These are great shower gifts, wedding presents, graduation gifts, or ‘just for me’ gifts! So, invite a friend, get a spending allowance from your children for their Mother’s Day gift to you, bring your mad money, and come over for a glass of champagne and a good time with ‘the girls.’
We will also be happy to take ‘wish lists’ and contact anyone you like to fulfill your whimsical wishes. With any purchase, you will be entered into a drawing for a free photo charm valued at $62.
Lastly, can anyone not fall in love with a company whose jewelry says, “Your own distinctive art, on a small canvas.”
8038 Walsh Rd., Dexter
Bring a friend. Bring several friends! And don’t forget, everyone who attends gets entered into a drawing for a free photo charm.
All orders will be delivered in time for Mother’s Day!

It is always so humbling (and fun) when artists, friends, family, and clients come out to view and support your work! I met new people, saw people I hadn’t seen in a long time, and had my ‘tribe’ with me who never miss a thing of mine!
J. Love Photography has a fine art portrait and nature exhibit at Corner Cup Cafe in downtown Dexter, Michigan that runs through the end of April. My artist reception was last evening and was orchestrated by a great artist and friend, Victoria Schon. She does a lot for the arts and we’re happy to have her!
It’s always a bit nerve-wracking to have these things because you wonder if 5 people will show up! Obviously, there are a lot of patrons of the arts in the area because we had over 50 people come down!
Everyone fell in love with Singin’ in the Rain, which is sold but is a limited edition fine art print of 26, so I am able to do more of this image. There seems to be a sense of happiness and someone said ‘peacefulness’ last night from this image. This little sparrow is mighty in his power to make people smile, that I know for sure!
My new body of work is exclusively printed on canvas and there are some small pieces but there are some really large pieces as well. It was gratifying to have people express how much they enjoyed all of the work.
I even had a few people tell me they are signed up to take my four-day photography workshop in the fall at Matthaei Botanical Gardens through Budding Art Ideas. I can’t wait. This should be great fun and a wonderful learning experience for all of us.
If you haven’t seen my fine art exhibit here, please be sure to stop in! I want to thank all of you who took time out of your busy life to come down and share art, food, and wine with us at Corner Cup Cafe. This photographer and artist is counting her blessings today!
